It's time to open our eyes.
It's time to realize that our children are not the only ones who need us.
It's time to think outside the box.
It's time to include our children in ministering with us.
Just because I feel too busy.
Just because I feel overwhelmed with 4 children in my house.
Just because I don't want to add one more thing to my life.
Just because my priority is my family.
Just because doesn't mean I shouldn't.
I want to see what's out there.
I want to see people through Jesus eyes.
I want to help people.
I want to have compassion.
I want to hurt when others are hurting.
We can do more than we think we can. Jesus kept serving even when he was hours from the cross. Jesus didn't say, "Nah, I need some time for myself." He didn't check His schedule.
Now, I know we aren't Jesus. But we do have the power of the Holy Spirit to continue on. We aren't facing the cross. But Jesus asked us to pick up our cross. And I can tell you that helping others is not your cross to bear. Serving others is what you do as you pick up your cross.
If we ask YHWH to see people through Jesus' eyes and with His heart, we will feel burdened for them and will be compelled to get involved.
And we can include our children. We should include them. They need to experience God's love in action, too.
Only by asking God to awaken us will we be able to follow Jesus's footsteps.
